"Prime Time Killing" is often loathed by Annihilator fans (and I can hear why) but it's not as bad as most of them say. Sure, it has a Pantera-like groove and doesn't sound quite like the rest of the album (neither does Nothing to Me, but that's another story) but it still features some rather good riff work.

I don't think Waking the Fury is better than Alice in Hell, mainly because of how different the two cds are. But Waking the Fury is incredibly fast and powerful and easily owns most modern metal releases from the last couple years. The distortion is heavier and the tempo is definitely accelerated. Joe's voice is darker and the lyrics are as well/5(11).

Waking The Fury is a brand-hot album that again combines an amazing scope of different styles and versatile influences. Acts like Metallica, AC/DC or Megadeth are still a big influence for Waters, just like Iron Maiden, Judas Priest or indeed Slayer/5(11).
